Updated Wednesday June 21, 2017 by James Mosher Baseball.

Charles Vasellaro is a national baseball historian and writer.  Several months ago he made an inquiry about writing a story for Press Box Magazine to capture some of the rich history of James Mosher Baseball over the past 58 years. Although Charlie, who lives not far from the field, had never had the opportunity to attend a game, he soon discovered on of the true gems of West Baltimore. Charles spent about four weeks writing his story entitled "Big Little League" From his first visit, Charles says he fell in love with the field, the children and with members of the organization. He was amazed  with the growth and the multitude of achievements resulting from close to six decades of service and commitment by generation after generation of folks who believe in James Mosher baseball.. Charlies interviewed dozens of people both young and old, including some original players and managers. He dug deep into the archives searching for stories and pictures illustrating the rich legacy of the league which is too numerous to tell in just one story. Press Box also sent a professional photograper along with a film crew to capture the love and passion of the program and the community. One of the photographs, by Kenya Allen, won the Picture of The Week from the television broadcast seen 4 days later.  That picture is on the front cover of Press Box Magazine. The story, which was publised on June 17, 2017, was followed by an interview with Stan "The Fan" Charles on Inside Press Box airing on Sunday, June 18, 2017 on ABC's WMAR-2.
